About the Artist
Born and raised in the Midwest, I consider myself a lifelong creative type. My fascination with art was early, having attended the Art Institute of Chicago for several years. My father was an amazing artist whose talents emerged after he retired and his paintings of wildlife, country settings and flowers were award- winning and published. After my father passed away, I couldn't seem to part with his paints and leftover canvases. First dabbling in watercolor, then resin, then acrylics, I found a variety of styles that appealed to me. My website today currently showcases all three forms of expression at www.abstractsbyken.com.

I paint from a place of happy; plenty of color, attitude and movement. I still experiment with different materials and surfaces and welcome the chance to find new 'FOREVER' homes for my art. My works are currently in homes all across the US, Canada and Australia. I'd love for yours to be next!
